Deep Freeze Containers

Deep Freeze Containers

Conrail deep-freeze containers are designed to work and maintain temperatures within a range of 0 to -60 degrees Celsius. The interior walls are lined with 120mm of insulation, improving thermal efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

To maintain temperature control storage during loading or on entering and exiting, the containers can be fitted with sluice doors, which provide a buffer zone to reduce the loss of cold air. Deep-freeze containers also feature heated door seals to prevent freezing, allowing for easy access at all times.

Deep-freeze containers aren’t limited to standard container sizes. Our mega units allow you to create a single zone climate that is almost limitless in size, depending on your operational requirements.

Our deep-freeze containers can be used for various purposes. For example, a manufacturing process requires a product to be maintained at a low temperature before progressing to the next step in the manufacturing process.

Sectors that commonly use deep-freeze containers include:

Food Industry

Medical Industry

Pharmaceutical Sector

Research and development, including for the storage of vaccines.

Deep Freeze Containers - FAQs

Deep-freeze containers are designed to store and transport goods at ultra-low temperatures, typically below -18°C. They are ideal for frozen foods, pharmaceuticals, ice creams, vaccines, and any products that require continuous subzero storage to maintain quality and safety.

Yes. Deep-freeze container hire allows businesses to access high-performance cold storage for short-term projects, seasonal demand, or logistics operations. Hiring provides flexibility, immediate availability, and avoids upfront purchase costs, making it cost-effective for temporary needs.

Yes. Conrail offers deep-freeze containers for sale, providing long-term, reliable storage solutions for businesses needing permanent ultra-low temperature storage. Purchasing ensures full control over container use, customization options, and extended operational life.

Deep-freeze containers use advanced refrigeration units and high-performance insulation to maintain constant subzero temperatures. Built-in temperature control systems monitor and adjust cooling automatically, ensuring stored goods remain frozen regardless of external conditions.

They are suitable for frozen foods, seafood, meat, ice cream, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, lab samples, and other temperature-sensitive materials. These containers are essential for businesses that require safe, compliant, and high-quality frozen storage.

Yes. These containers are weatherproof and fully insulated, allowing safe placement outdoors. Their robust steel construction protects against environmental factors, while internal systems maintain consistent subzero temperatures even in extreme weather conditions.

Yes. Deep-freeze containers are made from heavy-duty steel with lockable doors, ensuring goods remain secure. Optional security features, such as alarms and restricted access, can be added for high-value or sensitive cargo.

Absolutely. Conrail offers customisation options, including different sizes, shelving, power configurations, and advanced temperature controls. Businesses can select 10ft, 20ft, or 40ft units, or configure internal layouts to suit specific storage or transport requirements.

Conrail provides specialist transport and lifting equipment for safe delivery. Containers are installed on-site with connection to the power supply, and refrigeration systems are tested to ensure optimal performance from day one.

Yes. These containers can be moved if operational needs change. Relocation requires suitable access and handling equipment, after which the refrigeration system can quickly resume ultra-low temperature operation.

Modern deep-freeze containers are designed with energy-efficient refrigeration systems and insulation that reduce power consumption while maintaining consistent temperatures. This ensures cost-effective long-term operation for businesses.

Absolutely. Industries including food processing, pharmaceuticals, logistics, research labs, and hospitality rely on deep-freeze containers for secure and compliant subzero storage, ensuring products maintain quality and regulatory compliance.

While refrigerated containers maintain temperatures above 0°C for perishable goods, deep-freeze containers operate below -18°C, making them ideal for fully frozen items and materials that cannot tolerate even slight temperature fluctuations.

Regular inspections are essential, including checking refrigeration units, insulation integrity, temperature sensors, and electrical connections. Routine maintenance ensures the container continues to operate safely and efficiently over time.
